The discovery of 16th century warship Mars the Magnificent in 2011 did not pass unnoticed. It was soon clear that is was indeed the discovery of this century. A ambitious and challenging scientific project followed the discovery resulting in new revelations and knowledge. A unique photomosaic was created, now to be updated with an even more yaw dropping 3D photogrammetry model of the entire wreck site.
Along with the scientific efforts of exploring King Erik IIIIX admiral ship a documentary film was produced. This presentation will for the first time in the US screen parts of this documentary and take the audience behind the scenes of one of the most ambitious and adventures underwater movie productions in recent years. Richards insight into this fascinating project is unique as he was one of the persons discovering the Mars but also the project leader during the scientific efforts and the cinematographer of the movie.
