Ocean Quest is a multi-service business, with a tourism focus, based in Conception Bay South (CBS), Newfoundland. Founded and incorporated in 1999 by Rick Stanley and Debbie Stanley, Ocean Quest began with offering locals and tourists diving access to shipwrecks located off the shores of Bell Island, Conception Bay; highlighting the Bell Island wrecks as an historic site and the Bell Island Mines as a tour attraction.

 Ocean Quest has expanded from it’s beginnings as a small boat tour operator and dive shop to a fully functional PADI dive sales, training, service centre and Outdoor Adventure resort.   They have expanded from family-only operated with one boat to six full-time and over twenty part-time staff throughout the summer season, operating 9 boats and a fleet of kayaks. Scuba tours for locals has blossomed into week long dive/adventure packages hosting groups of 10-12 individuals from all over the world.   What began as singing the praises of the WWII ship wrecks and marine wonders in their backyard now sees international film production companies featuring the same.   The culture, history and natural wonders have been incorporated into award winning Close Encounter Tours where participants get fully immersed in the Zodiac, kayaking or snorkeling Adventure.
