About Kees Beemster Leverenz
Kees Beemster Leverenz is a GUE instructor with a decade of technical and cave diving experience. He is a passionate instructor and enjoys using his knowledge of photography and 3D photogrammetry to contribute to underwater exploration projects.
Kees regularly leads a small team of local divers in his hometown of Seattle to create 3D models of the airplane and shipwrecks of Lake Washington. He is a team member of the Mars expedition that returns to the icy waters of Öland every year to uncover the mysteries of the 1564 shipwreck of Mars Makalös. Kees has also worked for Project Recover, diving on airplane wrecks across Europe in an ongoing effort to find and help repatriate Americans that have gone missing in action since World War 2.
In addition to his time spent exploring, Kees spends much of his time teaching in order to help other divers reach their personal goals. Kees is one of only two worldwide GUE photogrammetry instructors and he is a regular editor of GUE course materials.
