TEKDIVEUSA.2020 – Millennial Tech Divers: Past, Present, and Future

Building on the successful Inside the Minds of Millennial Tech Divers panel discussion from TEKDiveUSA.2018, a new panel of accomplished Millennial divers has been formed to dive deeper into issues concerning the next prominent generation in technical diving.

Discussion topics include a look at the panel’s entry to diving and technical diving specifically. What roadblocks did they encounter along the way? What influences did they have to pursue diving in the first place? What can the next generation learn from their past experiences?

The panel will also discuss their current place in the technical diving sport. Are there any current problems or biases they encounter as a Millennial diver? What cultural issues do the see with diving today?

The Millennial generation is the largest living generation. How will the dive industry adapt from current strategies to appeal more to this generation in the future? How will the sport of tech diving look in another 5, 10, or 20 years?
