About Matteo Ratto

Matteo is a Technical Cave, Trimix & DPV Instructor Trainer, CCR and P-SCR Diver. He started diving in 2003 and very quickly through intense training, he started diving caves, with trimix and rebreathers. After a long experience as a dive master, he became an instructor in 2011. Matteo lives in Italy close to lakes and caves, so cold and dark water are his ordinary training. He likes to dive new spots all around Europe, especially caves and mines. He started to dive CCR and SCR rebreathers in 2005. He participates in different projects including long and deep dives in caves and wrecks.

From 2012 Matteo started to collect deep dives, reaching 160m in some research dives in lake and caves. In 2016 Matteo started participating in international projects that included film and still documentaries. In 2017 he participated at the production of the film of the sea cave “Amphitrite”.

In 2018 he dived in Croatia participating in the deep exploration and video making of the “Re d’Italia” wreck. As an active element of the Top2Bottom Filming Team and the World Submarine Exploration Team, he participated in international projects at the TekDive Europe (Belgium), EUDI Show (Italy), Tec-Expo Int (Belgium).
